What it does

IBM Bob is a coding agent that works inside a codebase from an IDE or from Bob Shell on the command line, spawning focused agents and subagents for background work. It generates code from plain-language descriptions, handles scripting and CI/CD tasks, tracks AI contributions, and offers modernisation work such as Java upgrades and IBM i and mainframe development as paid add-on packages. Individual plans run from Pro to Ultra and include Bobcoin credits, after a 30-day free trial, and the Enterprise plan adds self-hosting on premises or air-gapped.
