What it does
Kiro Crew is an open-source workspace for running AI agents on multi-step developer work across repositories, tools and sessions, published by Kiro on 4 August 2026 under the Apache 2.0 licence. It plans a task, starts parallel sub-agents through the Agent Client Protocol, keeps memory, lessons and skills between sessions, and can run on a schedule or start from webhooks and messages in Slack, Telegram or Discord. Each agent action and tool request can be gated for approval, and activity goes to a signed audit log. It runs as a desktop app, web dashboard or terminal interface on a machine the user controls, and the default backend needs the Kiro CLI.
