What it does
A dot is an always-on agent in ChatGPT that takes a goal and the context for it, then keeps working between conversations from its own cloud computer and the apps the user connects. It can research, draft content, review a calendar, run scheduled checks and write and test code, and it brings results back for review and asks for decisions that need the user. Users set custom rules for what it may share, purchase or access, from acting without asking to handing off to the user. It is rolling out to ChatGPT Pro users outside the EEA, Switzerland and the UK and to Business Premium users, with the first dot included in those plans; Enterprise, Edu and Healthcare workspaces get a beta that an admin must turn on.
