What it does

OpenClaw is an MIT-licensed personal assistant that a user installs on their own computer and reaches through messaging apps including WhatsApp, Telegram, Discord, Slack, Signal and iMessage. It can manage an inbox and calendar, send emails, browse the web and fill forms, read and write files and run shell commands, and it remembers preferences and people across conversations. It runs with full access or in a sandbox, pairs unknown senders before they can message it, works with hosted or local models, and keeps its state on the user's machine. It is stewarded by the OpenClaw Foundation, a non-profit, and has no paid or hosted tier.
